What is RED certification?
The 1999/5/EC directive has been implemented for many years, and existing products cannot be satisfied in many places. On May 22, 2014, the European Union officially announced a new version of the wireless equipment directive RED 2014/53/EU. This directive is based on the European Union’s new CE framework resolution 768/2008/EC. RED 2014/53/EU replaces the original The European Union Radio Equipment Directive R&TTE-D 1999/5/EC.
Different product test items are different, depending on whether you bring Bluetooth and WIFI. If you bring it, test EMC and LVD+RED. If you don’t, you only need to test EMC. Smart watches generally have Bluetooth and WIFI functions, so you need to test RED and low voltage LVD instructions!
RED certification includes two aspects
One is RE: Radio Equipment wireless products (such as mobile phones)
The second is TTE: Telecommunication Terminal Equipment
