What is SRRC?
SRRC is a compulsory certification requirement of the State Radio Management Committee. (State Radio Monitoring Center, SRMC) is currently the only organization in Mainland China that is authorized to test and certify radio model approval requirements. At present, China has set special frequency ranges for different types of radio transmission equipment, and not all frequencies are legally used in China. In other words, all radio transmitting equipment sold or used in its territory will specify different frequencies. In addition, applicants must pay attention to the scope of certain radio transmission equipment, not only to apply for (radio model approval certification), but also to apply for China Compulsory Certification (CCC) and/or Network Access Permit (MII) approval.
Why apply for SRRC certification?
In order to strengthen the management of the import and production of radio transmission equipment, all radio transmission equipment exported to the People’s Republic of China, or radio transmission equipment produced within the territory of the People’s Republic of China (including trial production) must be approved by the State Radio Management Committee ( The "Radio Transmission Equipment Type Approval Certificate" issued by the State Radio Regulation Committee (SRRC) after the type approval of its emission characteristics, and the type approval code (CMIITID) must be indicated on the label of the factory equipment before it can be marketed. In layman's terms, only radio transmission equipment with the type approval code of my country's radio transmission equipment can be sold and used in my country.
SRRC type approval application process
1. The sponsor submits the original or copy "Application Form for Approval of Radio Transmission Equipment Model" and "Registration Form for Equipment Testing Information" that have been filled out and stamped with the official seal of the applicant unit (equipment manufacturer); "Power of Attorney for Approval of Radio Transmission Equipment Model.
2. Submit a copy of the "Corporate Legal Person Business License" of the applying unit (including the agency applying unit).
3. Submit the technical specification (including the software and hardware version number) and user manual of the bid equipment model;
4. Submit the circuit diagram and block diagram of the tested equipment.
5. Submit three sets of color photos printed on A4 paper or electronic version, the photos should include the tested samples:
(1) Overall photo;
(2) Front view;
(3) Side view (including launch port, interface, etc.);
(4) Back photo (including launch port, interface, etc.).
6. Photos of the internal circuit boards of the tested equipment.
7. The nameplate (label) of the inspected equipment; the nameplate (label) must clearly display the equipment model, applicant unit (equipment manufacturer), equipment serial number and approval code CMIITID: the lower part of the appearance of the photo must also be marked as inspected The structure size of the device.
Application materials for SRRC type approval
1. Application form (two copies);
2. Power of attorney (two copies);
3. The customer's business license (Business license);
4. The customer’s ISO certificate or company profile and company capability description;
5. The circuit diagram, manual and specification of the product;
6. Antenna Peak Gain and Antenna pattern;
7. Company business license and production plant business license (the applicant and the production plant need to provide an OEM agreement);
8. Six-sided drawing of the sample (must include each interface and each side).
