What is CB certification?
The IECEE-CB system is a system for the global mutual recognition of electrical product safety test results established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Electrical Product Qualification Testing and Certification Organization (IECEE). The CB system is based on the IEC safety and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards for related electronic and electrical equipment approved by IECEE, and realizes mutual recognition of the test results of 19 categories of electrical products including batteries, household appliances, information electrical equipment, and medical electrical equipment. At present, 54 countries in the world have become members of the CB system.
CB certification application method
The application method of CB certificate can adopt two procedures to obtain the certificate
1. The product has obtained the CB test certificate, use the certificate with the CB test report to apply to the importing country for the country’s certification certificate;
2. If the product has not obtained the CB test certificate, directly apply for the country’s certification certificate to the importing country. If the second procedure is adopted, the applicant must first send the samples to the country according to the number of samples specified by the national certification agency of the importing country. The designated testing laboratory conducts the test, and the test fee must be paid.
Precautions for monitor application for CB certification
1. Fill in the CB test certificate application form in English (typing).
2. The English name of the National Power Product Certification Committee should be filled in between the four small black dots on the upper right of the first page of the application form.
3. Fill in the application date clearly.
4. If the applicant and the manufacturer are the same unit, fill in the same name and address in the column respectively.
5. In the column of the components used in the whole machine that have obtained the CB test certificate, if any, the name of the component and its CB certificate number should be filled in.
6. The legal representative signs, the legal representative’s name is typed in Chinese Pinyin with a typewriter, and the legal representative signs in person.
